In WordPress, to delete a plugin you need to deactivate that plugin first. Follow these 3 simple steps to delete a plugin in WordPress.

Deactivate and Delete a Plugin in WordPress

  1. In WordPress, click on the menu Plugins > Installed Plugins and installed plugins page will open.
  2. You will see the list of plugins installed. Select the plugin which you want to delete and click on the Deactivate first.
  3. After clicking on Deactivate link the page will refresh. Find that plugin again and now you will see the delete link for that plugin. Click on the Delete and that plugin will be deleted permanently.
